DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the Ducati Panigale V4 S, built from 2025 onward, the dashboard is one of the most exposed and most expensive parts on the front of the bike, and it rarely falls on a closed track alone. It is in the paddock, between a stand being moved and a tyre warmer being pulled off, that a dashboard is just as likely to take a knock. Melotti Racing developed its Impact Absorber for this V4 S generation to carry that everyday handling as well as an on-track fall.
Key Features
- Impact Absorber dashboard protection for the Ducati Panigale V4 S, 2025 to 2026
- Melotti part DC.DU.3251, shared with the standard Panigale V4
- Machined from a solid block of aluminium alloy
- Technopolymer front panel covering the LCD display
- Quick-fix front panel, drawn straight from Melotti's race-paddock fittings, no tool needed
- Elastic dashboard mounting that soaks up shocks and vibration before they reach the electronics
- Compact footprint, fits without any change to the bike
- Black anodised finish
Construction and Material Quality
The body of the Impact Absorber is machined, not cast, from solid aluminium alloy, which gives Melotti a consistent surface to anodise black and a structure that keeps its shape under repeated handling. Over the LCD panel sits a separate front piece in technopolymer, a material picked for the way it gives slightly on impact rather than passing the hit straight through to the screen. That front panel attaches with a quick-fix fitting, the same system Melotti uses in the paddock, so crew or owner can lift it off and put it back without reaching for a toolbox.
A Part Built for Pit Lane, Not Just the Gravel
Most dashboard damage on a Panigale V4 S does not happen mid-corner. It happens when a bike is wheeled backward into a tight garage space, when a paddock stand catches the front of the fairing, or when a crew member reaches across the cockpit in a hurry between sessions. Melotti's elastic mounting is built for exactly that kind of low-speed, high-frequency knock as much as for a slide: the dashboard floats slightly inside the Impact Absorber rather than sitting rigid against it, spreading a sudden bump instead of letting it travel straight into the connectors. The quick-fix front panel means a scuffed cover can be swapped between races without disturbing the wiring behind it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Melotti catalogues the DC.DU.3251 for the Panigale V4 S from 2025, and the same part is also listed in our shop for the standard Panigale V4 of the same build years, since the two share the dashboard and its mounting. It is not listed for any earlier V4 S. Owners who already run a Melotti clip-on, top yoke or AIS valve cover set on their V4 S can fit the Impact Absorber alongside them without conflict, and should confirm the dashboard generation against the part description before ordering.
Road Approval
No ABE or comparable approval exists for the DC.DU.3251, so we supply it for racetrack and closed-course use. Fitting it does not make the car park or the public road the right place to test it, and race organisers apply their own technical rules on the day.
Scope of Delivery
One DC.DU.3251 dashboard protector, black anodised aluminium alloy body with its technopolymer front panel and the parts needed to fit it to the Panigale V4 S.
