- Race layout
- Titanium anodised Ergal 7075
- CNC-machined from solid
- Military-specification switch elements
- Pre-wired for the original connector
Fitted by People Who Ride Hard
A shorter throttle action on a touring bike is a deliberate choice rather than a default one. The owners who make it are generally the ones using all of the chassis.
Restoring the Displaced Controls
The quick-action assembly takes the original block's mounting. This unit gives those functions somewhere to live and orders them for hard riding.
Supplementary
It goes on in addition to what remains rather than replacing anything. Reading it otherwise is the usual mistake with this part number.
One Anodised Finish
Titanium, matched to the throttle hardware it accompanies. It also handles gravel and salt better than any coated surface would.
Contacts Above Requirement
Military-specification elements inside the machined body. Salt and grit are what an all-weather motorcycle actually meets and neither leaves a moulded joint again.
Pre-Wired
Ducati's own connector, nothing spliced. On a bike ridden far from home, an untouched harness is the one that keeps working.
A New Rear Subframe
Most of the V2's weight saving over the 950 came from redesigning the structure behind the seat rather than from exotic materials anywhere. It is the slow way to make a motorcycle lighter and it is the one that lasts.
Enduro Mode Means It
Selecting it drops the engine to 75 horsepower and reconfigures the ABS strategy completely. On a gravel track the V2 becomes a genuinely different machine rather than a softened version of the road bike.
Ducati's Most Important Model
The Multistrada line has carried the company commercially for years, which is why a smaller and cheaper version exists alongside the V4. Not every buyer wants four cylinders and Ducati worked that out earlier than most.
Two Seat Heights
Ducati offered a lowered version with shorter suspension and a different saddle rather than expecting riders to adapt. It is why a good many people who could never manage a Multistrada now own one, and it costs nothing in capability for the way most of them are actually ridden.
