DescriptionThe whole story▼

Some owners of the Kawasaki ER-6N use their naked twin for long trips, adding a screen, a tank bag and soft panniers. For them the front brake has to work the same on a cold mountain pass as on a wet motorway exit. Accossato's AGPA94 pad for the right front caliper, in Sintered mixture, fits the ER-6N from 2006 to 2016 and is aimed at riders who travel in all conditions.

Key Features

  • Front right pads AGPA94 for the Kawasaki ER-6N, 2006 to 2016
  • Sintered mixture, SKU AGPA94ST
  • Accossato cites a high grip level held across temperatures
  • Good wet grip according to the maker
  • For long trips with luggage
  • Left caliper uses AGPA95
  • Same plate available as OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato states that the Sintered mixture maintains a high grip level that stays constant whether the brakes are cold or hot, and that it grips well in wet conditions. For a travelling ER-6N, this means predictable stopping at altitude in the morning chill and at the bottom of a warm valley later on. The maker also claims low wear, reduced fading thanks to limited heat build-up and high stopping force. The compound is mounted on the AGPA94 plate.

Travelling on a Naked Twin

A loaded ER-6N on a multi-day trip covers every kind of road, from motorway stretches to steep switchbacks. On long descents, the front brakes are used repeatedly and warm up; at the next rest stop, they cool again. A pad that holds its grip through those changes gives the rider one less thing to think about.

Before a long trip, check both front calipers and the rear, replace old fluid and pack a small tool kit. On the road, glance at the pads through the caliper opening every few days, especially after mountain sections.

Luggage changes how the ER-6N behaves under braking, so ride the first stretch of a loaded trip gently and get used to the extra weight before pushing on.

Fitment and Compatibility

AGPA94 is catalogued by Accossato for the right front caliper of the Kawasaki ER-6N 650, 2006 to 2016. The left front uses AGPA95, and the rear AGPP102. A box contains one caliper set; the complete front requires two boxes.

Road Approval

AGPA94ST has no ABE or German approval mark in our records. It is supplied for racing and competition purposes.

Scope of Delivery
