DescriptionThe whole story▼

Accossato's AGPP91 rear pad in Organic (OR) compound fits the Zero FXE ZF7.2 from 2022. On a city bike the rear brake is in constant use: holding the FXE at traffic lights, controlling it at walking pace in pedestrian zones and steadying it during tight U-turns. The organic mixture is designed for that gentle, frequent work and for kind treatment of the disc.

Key Features

  • AGPP91 rear pads for the Zero FXE 2022 (ZF7.2)
  • Organic (OR) compound
  • Longer performance and less disc wear, per Accossato
  • Smooth, progressive response at the pedal
  • Quiet rolling to a stop in town
  • Other versions of this pad: ST and STMX
  • Two pads for the rear caliper

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato highlights longer performance and limited disc wear for the organic compound. On the rear of a light commuter, that means a pad that lasts and a disc that stays in good condition. The mixture is made for the moderate temperatures of urban riding, where the rear brake is used often but rarely hard.

Walking-Pace Control in Busy Streets

Riding through a market square or a busy car park calls for fine control at very low speeds. Many riders cover the rear brake and drag it slightly to keep the FXE balanced. An organic pad with a soft, predictable bite makes that easier and keeps noise down, which matters on a silent electric bike moving among pedestrians. Check the rear pads during routine maintenance, as frequent light use still wears them. When replacing, clean the caliper, push the piston back carefully and pump the pedal before riding.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP91 for the rear caliper of the Zero FXE ZF7.2, model year 2022. The front brake of the FXE uses AGPA92. Change both rear pads together and bed them in over the first few rides. Look at the rear disc as well; a worn disc shortens the life of the new pads. Since the FXE is often parked outside, a thin layer of surface rust can form on the disc overnight, and a couple of light stops at the start of the ride clears it. Keep lubricants and chain spray well away from the rear wheel, because a contaminated organic pad rarely recovers.

Road Approval

We have no approval papers or ABE for this rear pad, so it is listed for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two organic rear pads, one set for the caliper.
