DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Streetfighter 848 spends a surprising part of its life at walking pace: easing out of a garage, turning in a narrow street, pulling away on a steep driveway. None of that is what the bike was built for, and all of it depends on the clutch. The Accossato ESH011 is a machined aluminium clutch lever for the 2012 to 2015 Streetfighter 848, fitted to the original clutch mounting, with a reach that can be brought closer to the grip.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Streetfighter 848, 2012 to 2015
- Replaces the original lever on the standard clutch mounting
- Adjustable distance to the grip
- Standard length approximately 138 mm in all colours
- Long blade in blue, gold, green and orange for a lighter pull
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised, black hub
- One-piece blade without a hinge
- No German ABE documented, track use only
Construction and Material Quality
The ESH011 is CNC-machined from a single piece of aluminium and anodised, the hub in black and the blade in one of seven colours. Anodised aluminium resists the wear of gloves and the occasional brush against a garage wall better than a painted surface, because the colour is part of the metal. There is no folding joint in the blade, and reach is set with the adjuster in the hub near the pivot.
Hill Starts and Tight Garages
Pulling away uphill asks for three things at once: hold the bike on the rear brake, bring the clutch to the biting point, and add throttle as the brake comes off. The left hand's part is to find that point and stay there, which is easier when the lever sits close enough to be controlled by the stronger part of the fingers. On the Streetfighter 848, set the ESH011 so the blade rests under the first finger joints with your hand on the grip. In a tight garage the same applies: a slow, steady slip lets the bike creep forward at full lock without the jerks that unsettle it. The long blade lightens the pull for riders who do a lot of this; the standard length stays closest to the original. Either way, the Streetfighter 848 becomes easier to live with in the places it was never designed for.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the ESH011 for the Streetfighter 848 of 2012 to 2015. It fits on the standard clutch mounting in place of the original lever. The EDF099 is Accossato's brake lever for the same bike and years, offered in the same colours and lengths.
Road Approval
The ESH011 is offered for the track; a German ABE has not been documented.
Scope of Delivery
