How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

The moment you buckle the double-D ring and settle the Airoh GP 800 SWAIN onto your head, the gloss purple finish tells a story before you've turned a wheel. This is a helmet built for riders who understand that character and performance are not mutually exclusive — that a deep, lustrous violet shell wrapped around HPC carbon construction is as serious a technical statement as it is a visual one.
Key Features
- HPC carbon shell: ultralight, exceptionally rigid and precisely balanced for long-haul comfort and track-day confidence alike.
- ECE 22.06 certified: the highest current international safety standard, meeting the demands of modern road and circuit use.
- Large 2D race visor: delivers a panoramic field of view in every riding situation, from urban filtering to open-road touring.
- Pinlock 120 XLT Max Vision anti-fog insert included as standard — one of the most effective optical inserts available.
- Dark smoke visor supplied in the box, ready for bright days without an additional purchase.
- ATVR tool-free visor exchange system: swap between clear, tinted and dark smoke in seconds, whatever the conditions demand.
- Sport-grade ventilation with chin, crown and rear exhaust ports circulating fresh air continuously at speed.
- Hypoallergenic, moisture-wicking interior liner that is fully removable and machine washable.
- Practical extras: nose guard, summer and winter wind-stop inserts, and a dedicated visor storage bag.
Design, Finish and Heritage
Airoh has been crafting competition-grade helmets in Bergamo, Italy for decades, and the GP 800 SWAIN carries that lineage into a contemporary, design-led package. The SWAIN graphic in Purple Gloss is not a simple coat of paint — the deep violet hue sits beneath a high-gloss clear coat that amplifies light, shifting from plum to near-electric purple as the angle changes. Against black, grey, silver or white bodywork it creates an unmistakably purposeful contrast; against matte finishes it reads as genuinely exclusive.
The shell itself is formed from Airoh's HPC carbon — a high-performance composite that keeps weight to a minimum without compromising the structural integrity that the ECE 22.06 homologation demands. The result is a helmet that disappears on your head rather than sitting heavily on your shoulders during a long ride.
On the Road and on Track
The GP 800 SWAIN is at home anywhere a rider who takes both aesthetics and ability seriously wants to go. The large 2D race visor gives the wide field of vision that matters when reading traffic at speed or scanning a circuit ahead of a braking zone. The ATVR quick-release mechanism means swapping from the supplied Pinlock-ready clear visor to the included dark smoke takes a matter of seconds at the roadside — no tools, no frustration.
Ventilation is calibrated for genuine performance use: independently operated chin and crown inlets feed air across the rider's face and through the EPS liner, while rear exhaust ports pull warm air out efficiently. The interior cheek pads and crown liner are soft against skin, hypoallergenic for those with sensitive complexions, and removable for washing after long-distance or hot-weather riding.
Who This Helmet Is For
- Riders who want a distinctive, design-forward colour that stands apart from conventional black or white options.
- Sport and naked-bike riders who demand carbon construction and class-leading weight without sacrificing comfort.
- Touring riders who value superior ventilation, visor clarity and long-distance ergonomics.
- Anyone who refuses to compromise on safety and insists on ECE 22.06 homologation as a baseline.
