Safety Engineering
Nolan constructs the N60-6 Sport shell from Lexan Polycarbonate, a material chosen for its balance of impact energy absorption, durability and manageable weight. The ECE 22.06 certification is the current benchmark for road helmet approval in Europe, covering both impact protection and retention system performance. Six EPS inner shell variants ensure that each size group receives foam density matched to its geometry — a meaningful detail that generic single-shell helmets cannot offer. The Microlock retention system adds a double-lever mechanism that locks securely under load yet releases cleanly when needed.
AirBooster Ventilation System
Long summer rides and urban stop-start traffic place very different demands on helmet ventilation, and the AirBooster system addresses both. Fresh air enters through the chin vent and the upper crown intake, is directed through wind-tunnel-optimised internal channels and exits through rear exhaust ports. The circulation is consistent and draught-free — keeping the rider cool and focused without the discomfort of uncontrolled airflow.
Visor System
The ultra-wide main visor provides an exceptional field of view and is treated for scratch and UV resistance. A Pinlock anti-fog disc is included in the box, preventing mist build-up during temperature transitions — a practical inclusion rather than an optional extra. The visor swaps without tools, making roadside changes straightforward. Interior Comfort
The Clima Comfort liner is cut from recycled Italian textile — soft against the skin, breathable across the seasons and fully removable for machine washing. Cheek pads feature replaceable wadding so the fit can be fine-tuned as the liner beds in. An adjustable neck roll improves the seal at lower speeds and a dual-layer mesh construction promotes airflow directly at the scalp.
