DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 059 blanks the PAIR ports on the Neo Sports Café's cylinder head.
Key Features
- Honda CB 1000 R Neo Sports Café (2018–2024)
- Machined block-off cover for the PAIR ports
- Sealed with its own gasket
- Fully reversible to standard
A Plate, Not a Plug
The cover closes the passages that feed fresh air into the exhaust ports. It is the mechanical half of removing the secondary air system and it is what actually stops the air.
Its Own Gasket
Supplied with a dedicated seal rather than a bead of silicone. Directly beside an exhaust port, an improvised gasket does not survive the first hard afternoon.
Where the Popping Goes
Once the air stops arriving, the banging on a closed throttle stops with it. Riders often assume that noise is a fuelling fault and it is usually the emissions system doing its job.
A Naked Fireblade Engine
Honda put a detuned litre four into a stripped chassis and drew it as a modern café racer. It makes 145 horsepower and it looks like nothing else in the range.
Aluminium Everywhere
The Neo Sports Café's styling depends on exposed machined and brushed metal, which is why a stamped steel cover in the engine bay looks so obviously wrong on one.
Cleaner Mapping
With the secondary air gone, the lambda sensor reads combustion rather than combustion plus injected oxygen. Any tuning work afterwards starts from an honest number.
Type Approval
The PAIR system is part of what makes the motorcycle road legal. Removing it is a closed-circuit modification and this listing is straightforward about that.
Machined Stays Flat
A cut plate holds its sealing face through repeated heat cycles where a pressed one distorts. On a surface bolted to a cylinder head, that is the whole specification.
Nothing Permanent
The original cover and gasket go back whenever the bike needs to. No thread is touched and no passage is modified.
