Raid is the carbon shell's own graphic family — a different drawing from the YUMA on the fibreglass helmets, and applied to the lighter shell. White and red is its most traditional reading.
Three modes in one shell
An adventure helmet is a compromise by design, and the X.RALLY's answer is to let you choose which compromise you are making on any given day rather than living with an average of all three.

About the Raid White Red graphic
Worth knowing how the range splits, because the graphic name tells you the shell. YUMA decors sit on the X-Matrix2 fibreglass shell; Raid decors sit on X-PRO Carbon. So choosing between them is choosing a construction as much as a colour, and the price gap reflects that rather than the artwork. White and red is the palette rally helmets have used since the discipline existed, and it works here for the same reason it always has: two values far enough apart to stay legible through dust. 🔵 Printed graphics cannot be touched in after a stone strike.
The X-PRO Carbon shell and the X-Foam bumpers
The carbon shell carries the same four approvals as the composite one: ECE 22-06, DOT FMVSS 218, CCC GB811:2022 and NBR7471:2015. Carbon is a weight and stiffness decision, not a certification one.
Three outer shell sizes cover XXS to XXXL, and X-Foam EPP bumpers run across the entire lower shell including the chin.

The Recoil visor, and the two shields in the box
The visor mechanism working independently of the peak is not a small detail on a three-mode helmet. It means the On-Road conversion — peak off, visor on — leaves the seal and the alignment exactly where they were.
🔵 Helmets with a combined mount usually need the visor re-seating after a peak change. This one does not.
Nine intakes — and two tests that disagree about them
🔵 If you ride in genuine heat at low speed — technical trails, traffic, waiting at borders — treat the ventilation as the open question on this helmet rather than as a strength. The measured result was modest; the road impression was not.
A pale shell helps more than most riders expect in exactly those conditions, and this range offers several.
How loud it actually is
🔵 Setting expectations honestly: this is not a quiet helmet and was never going to be. A peak, a wide goggle-ready aperture and nine intakes are three separate noise sources, and all three are there because they make the helmet good off-road.
Independent measurement: 103 dB, scored 3/5. On-Road mode improves it.
Interior, hydration routing and fit
🔵 A new helmet should feel firm but never painful. The 3D-mesh liner beds in over the first few hours and again over the first season — a helmet that is perfect in the shop will usually be loose by the summer's end.
Start tighter than comfortable. Replacement cheek pads correct it later.

Weight on a peaked helmet is mass on a lever arm: the peak sits ahead of and above your head's centre, in clean air, for as long as you hold it up. That is why adventure helmets feel heavier than their numbers.

Where it sits — and who should buy something else
Nexx's own positioning is clear enough: the X.RALLY is the hard-enduro helmet in the catalogue, and the X.WED3 is the adventure tourer. The shell grade, the aperture size and the goggle compatibility are all decided by that.

Intercom, camera mounts and spare parts
The mount slot for an intercom is on the shell rather than clamped to the edge, which on a helmet that goes off-road is the difference between a unit that stays put and one that is knocked off by a branch.
🔵 Speakers sit in dedicated ear recesses. No system is supplied — the provision is universal rather than proprietary.
