DescriptionThe whole story▼
The rubber seal around the eye port is what the visor closes against. On the Spartan that seal is JO5010P, VISOR RUBBER SEAL in the supplier list, JOINT CHAMP DE VISION SAV in French.
Key Features
- Visor seal (eye port seal) for the Spartan
- Black (BLK)
- Shark service part (SAV)
- 19 g listed weight
Ordering by part number
The price list names the Spartan directly for JO5010P, so the assignment is firm. Look for the number on the old seal or in the parts documentation. Do not confuse it with JO5020P, the lower seal along the bottom of the shell, which costs the same and is also black.
Fitting
Take the visor off to get clear access. Pull the old seal out of its channel around the eye port, clean the channel, and press the new seal in, starting at the top centre and working both ways round. Do not stretch it as you go; a stretched seal pulls back and leaves a gap. Refit the visor and close it: it should meet the seal evenly all round. Water on the inside of the visor after a wet ride is the typical sign that this seal needs renewing.
