DescriptionThe whole story▼
The F4 RR was the top road-going version of MV Agusta's four-cylinder superbike in these years, a machine at home on fast circuits with long straights and high-speed corners. There its engine spends a large share of every lap near full throttle, and that kind of riding uses noticeably more fuel than a tight club track. The refuelling rhythm of the day changes with it, and a rider who ignores that can run short at the worst possible moment. For the F4 RR of 2010 to 2015, Accossato lists the FC119: a quick-release tank cap in CNC-machined aluminium with a pin in six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the MV Agusta F4 RR 1000, 2010 to 2015
- Aluminium body, CNC-machined in full
- Quick-closing pawl for quick refuelling
- Pin colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Pawl replaceable separately
- Robust and durable according to Accossato, new design
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Top to bottom, the FC119 is aluminium cut by CNC machines, and Accossato calls it robust and durable in a new design. The quick-closing pawl lets you open the F4 RR's tank quickly and close it again with a single movement. You choose the colour of the pin on the pawl when ordering. A damaged pawl can be replaced on its own.
Fast Circuits Drink More
On a fast circuit a superbike spends much of the lap at wide throttle, and fuel consumption rises accordingly. Riders who know the F4 RR only from tight club tracks are sometimes surprised how quickly the level drops where the straights are long, and running low at the end of a session is not only annoying but can make the engine stutter in a corner. Plan for it. After the first session, note how much fuel it takes to bring the tank back to your chosen level, and use that figure to decide how often to top up for the rest of the day. On a hot day or a quick circuit, that may mean every session rather than every other one. Keep the refuelling tidy even when the rhythm is tight: engine off, bike on its stands, a pause for the heat to drop, then the FC119 open, fuel in and cap closed. Wipe the tank before the warmers go back on. Time saved by a quick-release pawl is only worth having if the rest of the job stays careful.
Fitment and Compatibility
On Accossato's list, the F4 1000 RR of 2010 to 2015 has the FC119, and we list this product for those years. The same cap is listed with us for the F4 RC 1000 and the Rush 1000. Match your F4 RR to the application list before ordering, and ask us if the year is unclear.
Road Approval
The FC119 is not documented with a German ABE or a parts certificate; we sell it for circuits. The F4 RR's own cap, normally key-operated, stays on for road riding.
