DescriptionThe whole story▼

The V100 Stelvio is quick and agile for an adventure bike, and some owners enjoy exploring that on mountain roads or at an open track day. For them Accossato offers front pad AGPA177 in the EV1 street/track compound, which gives a sharper initial bite than a touring mixture and keeps working when the discs get hot. Accossato lists this pad for the V100 1042 Stelvio from 2024 to 2025.

Key Features

  • EV1 street/track front pads for the Moto Guzzi V100 Stelvio
  • V100 1042 Stelvio, 2024 to 2025
  • Does not fit the older Stelvio 1200
  • Accossato promises excellent grip for road riding and amateur track use
  • Sharper response for sporty riding
  • Two pads for one caliper
  • Competition use; no German ABE

Construction and Material Quality

EV1 is Accossato's crossover mixture, designed for riders who ride quickly on the road and occasionally on a circuit. The company says it gives excellent grip in both settings. On the V100 Stelvio, that means a front brake with a crisper initial response and a pad that tolerates heat when stopping hard and often. Accossato also cites low wear and good fade resistance.

An Adventure Bike With Pace

On a sequence of tight mountain bends, the V100 Stelvio can be ridden with real enthusiasm, and each corner needs a firm, precise stop. EV1 is made for that. Sintered (ST) is the all-weather touring option for this plate, while EV2 and ZXC are dedicated racing compounds.

Fresh pads on the V100 need a short apprenticeship: work the lever until the pistons are back in contact and the feel is solid, then make a handful of stops from moderate speed, each a little firmer than the last, before the first proper mountain ride. Keep the rotors free of chain spray and fingerprints, and look at the lining more often than a touring rider would, because enthusiastic use of the front brake on steep descents takes its toll on any pad, whatever its mixture.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato catalogues AGPA177 for the V100 1042 Stelvio of 2024 to 2025. The earlier Stelvio 1200 takes AGPA96, so check your model before ordering. The V100 Stelvio has twin front calipers, so plan on two boxes for the complete front. The data sheet also mentions AGPA29 for the rear, but its years refer to the older Stelvio, so check the rear pad of your V100 separately.

Road Approval

We have no German ABE or approval document for this pad, so it is offered for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery
