DescriptionThe whole story▼
A mountain road with twenty hairpins stacked above each other is a brake test disguised as a holiday. Between one bend and the next there is barely time for the front end to cool, and a rider enjoying themselves on a BMW F750GS will use the lever firmly several hundred times before lunch. Accossato's EV1 street/track compound in the AGPA92 pad is built for riding of that intensity, on the road or at an amateur circuit day, and the listing covers the F750GS from 2018 to 2024.
Key Features
- AGPA92EV1 front pads in the EV1 street/track compound
- BMW F750GS, model years 2018 to 2024, front wheel
- Accossato describes strong grip for road riding and amateur circuit use
- Aimed at riders who brake hard and repeatedly
- Two pads per box, the amount one caliper takes
- Softer materials fill the same outline for everyday machines
- Rear wheel: AGPP91 pads. Disc for this bike: DK006
- No German ABE on record; offered for track and competition
Construction and Material Quality
This is the point in the AGPA92 range where the catalogue stops thinking about commuting. Accossato's description of the material mentions the street and the circuit in the same breath, which is a fair summary of what an enthusiastic owner asks for: normal manners on the way to the mountains, then enough substance left when the road turns upwards and the front brake is worked without pause. A pad has to manage both without becoming a different component halfway through the day. Two of them are packed together, which is what one caliper on the F750GS accepts.
Hairpins One After Another
Descending a pass is harder on the front brake than climbing it, and the mistake that spoils most descents is using the lever alone. Choose a low gear at the top and let engine braking carry a share of the load; brake in a straight line before the bend rather than while leaning through it; and give the system short pauses, because heat leaves a disc surprisingly quickly when air can reach it. If the lever starts creeping towards the bar as the valley comes closer, pull in somewhere safe and let everything cool rather than pressing on with the fingers adjusting for it. Brake fluid that has spent several summers in the system takes in water and turns soft on exactly this kind of road, so a bike used in the mountains deserves a fresh filling more often than the service book suggests.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPA92 is listed for the front wheel of the BMW F750GS between 2018 and 2024. One box supplies one caliper, so take a look at your front wheel and order accordingly, and consider putting a second set aside if a riding holiday is coming up. Accossato covers the rear of the same machine with the AGPP91 pad and offers a disc, the DK006, for owners whose original friction rings have reached the end of their life.
Road Approval
No approval paperwork of any kind, German ABE included, has been provided for this pad. The AGPA92EV1 is sold for competition and circuit riding only.
