DescriptionThe whole story▼
Dorsoduro is the name of a district in Venice, not far from Aprilia's home in Noale, and the 1200 version put that name on a big V-twin with a wide handlebar and a supermoto stance. On a bike like this the controls sit in plain view, and the clutch reservoir on the left side of the bars is one of the first things the rider sees. The FP007 from Accossato closes that reservoir on the clutch master cylinder; it is milled from aluminium, comes in six anodised colours and is listed for the Dorsoduro 1200 from 2010 to 2016.
Key Features
- Clutch master cylinder cover for the Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200, 2010 to 2016
- Fits the original master cylinder of the hydraulic clutch
- CNC-milled aluminium, anodised
- Available in blue, black, orange, red, silver and gold
- Can be matched with the FP001 oil cap and the TS012 rear reservoir cap
- Fit to be confirmed against Accossato's application list
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Milled from aluminium on CNC machines and anodised afterwards, the FP007 carries its colour in the treated surface of the metal. Six shades are offered for this cover: gold, silver, red, orange, black and blue. It is made to sit on the original clutch master cylinder of the bikes Accossato lists, so the hydraulic system itself stays untouched. Before closing the reservoir with the new cover, check the original diaphragm or seal and replace it if it has become brittle.
One Colour for Clutch, Oil and Rear Brake
For the Dorsoduro 1200, Accossato offers three caps: this cover for the clutch, the FP001 for the oil filler and the TS012 for the rear brake reservoir. If you want all three in one colour, the choice narrows to six, because the oil cap adds titanium and green and the rear cap adds green, while the clutch cover has neither. What works across the set is red, gold, silver, black, blue or orange. Before deciding, look at the bike as a whole. The frame, the wheels, the graphics and any parts you have already changed all affect how a coloured cap reads from a few steps away. Red or gold picks up warm tones, blue and orange stand out against dark paint, while silver and black stay closer to the factory look. When fitting the FP007, turn the bars until the reservoir is level, cover the tank, and wipe away any drop of fluid with water straight away, because it damages paint. Then pull the lever several times with the engine off and check that it feels as it did before.
Fitment and Compatibility
The application list gives the Dorsoduro 1200 of 2010 to 2016 for the FP007, which replaces the cover on the original clutch master cylinder. We carry the same cover for the Caponord 1200 and for two Ducatis, the Diavel and the Hypermotard 950. Compare your Dorsoduro with the application list before ordering, especially if the clutch master cylinder is no longer the original one.
Road Approval
Without an ABE or comparable test documents on file, the FP007 is sold by us as a part for racing and competition.
