The connection between rider and chassis decides how much feedback you get from the front tyre and how confidently you can move around the bike. Rearsets are the heart of the category. Look for CNC-machined billet aluminium, a genuinely useful adjustment range so peg position matches your body and your lean angle, and support for both standard and reverse (GP) shift patterns. Folding footpegs and replaceable toe and heel components keep crash damage manageable, and if you run a quickshifter, check that the linkage is compatible before you order. For pure racing use, weight and rigidity take priority; for road riding, comfort over distance still counts.

Beyond rearsets, triple clamps sharpen steering feel through offset and stiffness, lightweight subframes pair with race bodywork to cut weight where it sits highest, and quick-action fuel caps speed up refuelling between sessions.
