DescriptionThe whole story▼
Please note: sale to France is prohibited.
Invigorate is the graphic family on this helmet, and TC-4 is its green. Green is rare on helmets and common on adventure motorcycles, which is exactly why this version exists — it is the one that matches rather than contrasts.
Peak and visor — what an adventure helmet is for
Adventure riding puts a specific set of demands on a helmet that neither road nor motocross design covers. Long hours upright in clean air; slow, hot going where ventilation matters more than aerodynamics; occasional standing on the pegs; and luggage, gloves and goggles all competing for attention at a stop.
The Hornet ADV 06 is designed around that combination rather than around any single part of it.
About the Invigorate TC-4 graphic
Graphics behave differently on an adventure helmet than on any other type, because the peak interrupts the design at the front and the spoiler interrupts it at the back. Invigorate is drawn around that: the elements are placed to run with the shell's own lines rather than across them, which is why it holds together from the side where most decors on this helmet type fall apart. In green it reads as considered rather than loud — a colour that belongs to the landscape adventure bikes are ridden in rather than to a race paddock. 🔵 The practical notes are the same for all five graphics: a higher price than a solid, printed layers cannot be touched in after a stone strike, and the TC number is what the parts catalogue works from when you order a matching peak.
AIM+, four shells, double-D and EQRS
Two components do the protective work and they do different jobs. The AIM+ shell spreads the load and resists penetration — relevant off-road, where the environment includes stones and footpegs. The polystyrene liner underneath absorbs energy by permanently crushing.
🔵 A crushed liner does not recover. After a real impact the helmet is finished, whatever it looks like from outside.
The CNS-2 visor and the Pinlock lens in the box
The visor and the peak overlap in function and it is worth knowing where. The peak shades low sun from above, which is the case a tinted visor handles badly anyway; the visor seals the front against wind, rain and insects at road speed.
🔵 The Pinlock EVO lens is supplied in the box — the single most useful item Shoei could have included. Replacements: DKS302.
Ventilation — and why we do not quote a vent count
🔵 This helmet reached the market in June 2026, and at the time of writing no independent road test of its ventilation exists. We checked MCN, Visordown, Bennetts, RiDE, ABR, MOTORRAD, the ADAC, 1000PS and Moto Magazine.
What is documented: the system was revised against the previous generation, with additional extraction at the rear and neck. Everything beyond that is manufacturer description.
Peak, spoiler and lift at road speed
The rear spoiler is integrated into the shell rather than bolted on, which is worth noting on a helmet that will be strapped to luggage and set down on rocks. There is nothing protruding to snap off.
🔵 Its stated purpose is managing the wake and reducing lift, alongside the perforated peak. Both are Shoei's own descriptions; this generation launched in June 2026 and no independent aerodynamic test of it exists.
Four cheek pad thicknesses, removable ear pads, intercom prep
Intercom preparation on an adventure helmet is not optional equipment, it is how most riders navigate. Shoei built the space in: removable ear pads clear room for the speakers, and the helmet is described as prepared for intercom installation.
🔵 No system is supplied with the helmet. The pads and the space are there; the electronics are a separate purchase.
What is documented and what is not
New helmets carry an information gap and this one is currently in it. Launched June 2026, no independent test published, no manufacturer weight, and specification details — the vent count in particular — reported inconsistently across the trade press.
🔵 None of that means the helmet is poor. It means the usual evidence is not yet available, and we would rather tell you that than fill the space with confident-sounding numbers.
Where it sits in Shoei's range
Adventure helmets are the most cross-shopped category there is, and the honest advice is to be precise about your own riding rather than aspirational about it. Most adventure bikes spend most of their lives on tarmac.
🔵 If yours does, the GT-Air3 at the same price is quieter, lighter and independently rated. If it genuinely does not, this is the better helmet.

When something wears out
The peak is the part most likely to be damaged, because it is the part that projects. It is separately available, it fits without tools, and replacing it is the cheapest way to make a well-used helmet look cared for again.
Alongside it we stock CNS-2 visors, DKS302 Pinlock lenses and the full padding range including four cheek pad thicknesses.
