Evolved directly from the Axial 2, the Dainese Torque 4 represents the culmination of race-derived engineering applied to a boot equally at home on a Sunday track day or a fast road ride. The construction centres on a microfibre upper reinforced with D-Stone™ fabric — a combination chosen for its exceptional abrasion resistance and low weight — while a TPU D-Axial protection system guards the ankle and foot against rotational forces that cause the most damaging injuries in a crash.

Construction and Materials
Dainese built the Torque 4 around materials that earn their place through performance rather than marketing. The microfibre upper is light, supple and extraordinarily tough, resisting abrasion in the event of a slide while conforming to the foot over time. D-Stone™ fabric reinforcement adds another layer of cut and tear resistance at the most vulnerable zones without adding stiffness where it is not needed. A removable and replaceable magnesium heel cup provides a hard outer shell that both protects and promotes the sliding behaviour that reduces peak impact loads during a fall. TPU shift guard at the gear lever zone prevents wear from repeated contact, extending the life of the boot through hard use.
Ergonomics and Fit
The Torque 4 is designed to disappear on the foot. Flexible articulated joints at the ankle allow the natural range of motion needed for precise lever and peg feel, while the quick-lace system lets riders dial in an exact, even fit across the instep. The rear zip makes entry and exit straightforward even in full leathers, and the overall silhouette is trim enough to sit neatly inside a race suit or riding trouser. The Double Jersey Airgap interior lining keeps air moving around the foot, resisting the heat build-up that leads to fatigue on longer sessions.

One of the practical strengths of the Torque 4 is that its protective sliders can be replaced when worn, keeping the boot performing at its designed level without requiring the purchase of an entirely new pair.
