Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy widely used in MotoGP and Superbike paddocks precisely because it combines low mass with rigidity that ordinary alloys cannot match. LighTech CNC-machines each cap from a solid billet rather than casting it, which eliminates porosity and produces the kind of sharp, repeatable geometry you only see on top-shelf Italian components. The anodising is applied after machining, bonding into the surface rather than sitting on top of it, so the colour holds through heat cycles, cleaning chemicals and the inevitable brake fluid drips that come with aggressive track use.
Design & Detail
The laser-engraved LighTech logo is recessed cleanly into the top face — a detail that separates a properly finished component from a generic billet cap. The profile is developed specifically for the 959 reservoir, so there are no proud edges, no misaligned flanges, and no need to reach for a file before fitting. Installation takes seconds: unscrew the original cap, thread in the FBC04, done.
