The Smallest Triple
Six hundred and seventy-five cubic centimetres in the Brutale chassis, sold as the accessible MV. It has the same frame, the same counter-rotating crank and the same handling as the 800, with an engine that has to be worked rather than simply opened.
A First Italian Motorcycle
For several years this was the cheapest new MV available, which made it the first for a great many owners. Those owners keep them and spend on them, which is why a comparatively low-volume model has the aftermarket support it does.
Housing and Switch as One
MV integrated the right-hand controls into the throttle assembly. There is no way to renew one without the other, which makes the factory replacement expensive and an aftermarket unit covering both jobs entirely reasonable.
Five Model Years
The fitment covers 2012 to 2017, the whole production run of the 675 before MV rationalised the range around the 800. Parts specific to it are correspondingly scarce, and correctly fitting components are worth noting.
Exposed to Everything
A naked bike gives its switchgear no protection at all. Rain arrives at road speed and stays, and the moulded cover on the standard assembly has a joint running right through the area where it matters most.
Cut From Billet
One block of Ergal 7075 with the switch block integrated into the same body. No clipped joint to develop play under a triple's vibration and no moulded seam for water to find over a decade.
