The F4 RC is MV Agusta's Reparto Corse homologation special. The JP ACS 060 replaces its throttle housing with a machined Ergal unit carrying a shorter cam.

Two Hundred and Fifty Built
The RC was made to homologate MV's World Superbike machine, and each one came with a race kit in a crate: exhaust, ECU, bodywork and stands. Two hundred and fifty examples, numbered, and a specification that made the RR look modest.
Two Hundred and Twelve Horsepower
With the kit fitted the RC makes considerably more than the road specification allows, which is the entire point of a homologation special. Without it, the bike is still the most powerful F4 MV built.
Bikes That Get Ridden
A surprising number of RCs are used at circuits rather than stored. The people who bought them generally wanted the machine rather than the investment, and that shows in how thoroughly they are prepared.
A Shorter Cam on a Race Bike
On a circuit the time spent rotating the wrist to full opening is time the motorcycle is not accelerating. Reducing it is among the first changes made to an F4 destined for track use, and it costs nothing in reversibility.
Mechanical Throughout
Cable throttle, original cables retained, nothing electrical disturbed. On a numbered limited edition that can be returned to standard specification in an afternoon, which is what makes the change acceptable.
Unmarked
No lettering. An RC carries its own numbered plaque and Reparto Corse graphics, and a component bearing another manufacturer's name would be the only discordant note in the cockpit.
Homologation Arithmetic
World Superbike required a production run before MV could race the specification it wanted. Two hundred and fifty machines was the number, and every one came with the race kit that made the exercise worthwhile.
