A Supermoto's Right Hand
Between the throttle and the mode controls, this side of the bar is worked more or less continuously. It is not a motorcycle on which switchgear leads a quiet life.
Universal Slots
The clamp takes the original master cylinder and the radial replacements. Hypermotards get modified and this part number covers the bike whichever way that has gone.
After the Air-Cooled 1100
Ducati replaced the old motor in 2013 and enthusiasts mourned the noise. The liquid-cooled 821 was faster in every gear and rather better behaved, which settled the argument slowly.
Black, Red or Titanium
Grown into the aluminium electrochemically. On a motorcycle with almost no bodywork, the bar is looked at constantly and there is nothing here to chip.
Dust Before Rain
Supermotos collect grit first and water second, and grit never dries out of a joint again. Sealed elements inside a solid body give it nowhere at all to settle.
Eight Hundred and Seventy Millimetres
To the seat. Ducati never apologised for the height and offered a lower saddle as an accessory rather than compromising the geometry to suit shorter riders.
Ergal 7075
Roughly twice as strong as ordinary machined aluminium. This bike will be dropped and the material choice exists for that rather than for a photograph.
Ducati's Own Connector
Pre-wired, nothing cut. The whole installation reverses as cleanly as it went on when the motorcycle is sold.
A Tail With Nothing In It
Ducati kept the rear of the Hypermotard almost completely empty, with a minimal subframe and the exhaust routed low. It is why the bike looks the way it does and a substantial part of why it weighs what it does.
