The Side That Does the Thinking
Riding modes, traction, wheelie control, engine braking, the display and the lap timer. Ducati put every configurable thing on the left and the rider reaches all of it from here.
More to Manage Than Before
The 2025 electronics package added parameters rather than simplifying them. These contacts do more work on a current V4 than on any Panigale that came before it.
Plastic Under Ultraviolet
The legends on a moulded block are printed on and they are the first casualty. Everything still functions and after four summers nobody can read what any of it does.
Heat, Then Cold, Repeatedly
A V4 puts real warmth into the cockpit and then the bike stands overnight. Plastics creep under that cycling and aluminium is entirely indifferent to it.
Two Anodised Finishes
Black or titanium, grown into the metal rather than sprayed over it. A scratch takes coloured surface with it instead of exposing bright aluminium underneath.
Twenty Minutes, Reversible
Nothing is spliced, so the factory block returns whenever it is wanted. On a superbike this expensive, an untouched harness protects the value at resale.
The Ducati Vehicle Observer
A virtual sensor model from MotoGP estimating dozens of parameters the bike cannot measure directly. It informs the traction and wheelie strategies rather than replacing them.
A Hundred and Eighty-Seven Kilograms
Kerb weight with fluids. Ducati took the mass out of the frame, the swingarm and the wheels rather than finding it all in one place.
A Frame That Gives
Lateral stiffness reduced deliberately after racing data showed it improves feel at full lean. Thirty years of chassis development had assumed the opposite.
