The JP ES 061 keeps a Tracer 700 running with the sidestand and its switch removed.

The Original Name
Yamaha called it the Tracer 700 until 2020 and then renamed it Tracer 7. The motorcycle underneath changed very little and the sidestand circuit not at all.
A Faired MT-07
Bodywork, a screen and longer suspension over the same 689 cc twin. It was the most practical version of the platform and it was priced accordingly.
Why the Switch Matters
It stops the engine with a gear engaged and the stand down, which on a bike that gets parked and restarted constantly is a protection worth having.
Once the Stand Is Gone
The circuit reads open and the ECU treats it as deployed. The motorcycle will not run in gear until something closes the loop.
What This Supplies
The expected circuit state, presented properly. The engine runs normally and the display reports nothing about the missing switch.
Four Model Years
The fitment covers 2016 to 2019 under the original name. Bikes from 2020 onward carry the Tracer 7 badge and the same wiring.
Original Connector
Nothing spliced. The switch refits with the stand whenever the bike returns to normal use.
Cheap Second-Hand
Early Tracers have depreciated further than the MT-07s they are built from, which makes them an unusually good base for a project.
Not a Road Modification
If the stand is still fitted, leave the interlock connected. The failure mode is an easy mistake with an unpleasant result.
Depreciated Into a Project
Early Tracers now cost considerably less than the MT-07s they are built from, which has made them an unusually attractive base for a track hack. A cheap bike with a proven engine and a good frame is where most builds start.
