The JP ACC YA043 replaces the R1's throttle assembly with a short-stroke unit that reaches full opening in sixty degrees instead of the rotation the factory chose.

The Latest Generation
Yamaha's newest R1 is sold in most markets as a track-only machine, which tells you everything about where the model has ended up after twenty five years.
Ride by Wire
There is no cable pulling a butterfly here. The grip reports an angle and the electronics decide what the throttle bodies do with it.
The Response Is Not Sharpened
The map is untouched and so is the relationship between opening and fuelling. What changes is the mechanical ratio between the hand and that opening.
Quickshifters
The shift sensor sits at the gear lever and the strategy sits in the controller. Neither has any relationship with the throttle assembly.
Not a Fix for a Sticky Throttle
A throttle that returns slowly usually has a cable, a bearing or a routing problem. Replacing the assembly hides the symptom rather than solving it.
Switchgear Alignment
The switch block locates against the assembly on most models, so it is worth loosening rather than removing it and letting it find its own position again.
Why It Is Plug and Play
The motorcycle's own connector goes into the new assembly unchanged. Everything difficult about a ride-by-wire conversion was already solved by the manufacturer.
Buying a Bike With One Fitted
Ask for the standard assembly. A machine offered with the original boxed is a straightforward purchase; one without means half an hour plus the cost of a replacement. It is also worth confirming the reset was done, because a proper idle is its own evidence.
Who Can Run the Routine
A dealer, an independent workshop with the right interface, or an owner who already has a tool for that make. It takes minutes once the machine is connected and it is the same procedure used after a throttle body service.
