The JP ACC KT016 fits the 1050 Adventure in place of the moulded throttle unit and reaches wide open in sixty degrees of rotation rather than the factory's more generous sweep.

The Detuned One
KTM sleeved the big V-twin down for riders who wanted the Adventure chassis without the full output. It was the gentlest version of a family that has never been accused of gentleness.
The Reset Is Not Optional
The controller has to relearn the closed position after the assembly is changed, and that needs a diagnostic tool. Skipping it leaves the bike running badly or not at all.
Riding Modes
Rain, road, sport and whatever else the manufacturer offers all continue to work exactly as they did. The assembly reports an angle and nothing more.
Cable Feel Without a Cable
The intent stated by the manufacturer is the weight and progression of a cable throttle. Electronics removed that feel and this is an attempt to give it back.
What a Buyer Asks
Whether the standard assembly still exists. A motorcycle offered with the original part in a box is a straightforward sale.
Who Should Not Buy This
Anybody whose riding is mostly urban, mostly two-up or mostly in the wet. The part rewards deliberate throttle use and punishes casual throttle use.

The two jobs share the same disassembly, which makes doing them together the obvious choice rather than a coincidence.
Reversibility Is the Point
Nothing is cut, drilled or modified. The standard assembly goes into a bag with its fasteners and refits in half an hour. That matters at a warranty appointment and in front of a buyer. The only thing to remember is that the reset runs again on the way back.
Small Screws, Aluminium Threads
The clamp fasteners are short, they thread into a light alloy and they hold a control that matters. The figures are low and looking them up takes a minute. Stripping one turns a straightforward afternoon into a repair nobody planned.
