The JP CJP 012D is the fuel controller for a Softail Sport Glide Flsb whose engine has been modified far enough that the standard closed-loop correction has run out of authority.

Detachable Everything
Fairing and panniers come off without tools, which turns a tourer into a roadster in about a minute. The engine underneath is unchanged.
A Map, Not a Curve
The software shows the fuel map as a grid: engine speed along one axis, load along the other, and a correction value in every cell. Nothing is preset. The owner decides what goes in each one.
Diagnostics Stay Honest
The standard controller keeps its own fault memory and its own adaptations. A workshop reads the motorcycle rather than reading somebody's tuning session.
Small Increments, Always
Three percent at a time. An engine responds to that clearly enough to judge and not so violently that a mistake is expensive.
Logging Instead of Watching
A logger records the mixture against revs and load so the analysis happens afterwards. It is safer than reading a display at speed and it produces better maps.
The Fair Comparison
Against a full remap it is narrower and reversible. Against the preset module it is more capable and more work. It sits deliberately between the two.
Heat Under the Seat
The unit lives where an engine has been working. It is built for that; pressing it against a rail that carries exhaust heat is still worth avoiding.
Against the Preset Module
That one is finished when it arrives and cannot be improved. This one arrives empty and has no ceiling except the owner's patience.
