The JP KS YA003 puts a sealed button where the R1M's ignition barrel was, saving weight in the one place on a motorcycle where it costs the most.

Carbon and Data Logging
The M is built in limited numbers with semi-active Ohlins and a logger as standard. It is sold to people who record what they did on a circuit.
The Steering Lock Goes
Removing the barrel removes the lock with it. On a road bike that matters; on a machine in a van between circuits it does not.
Why Racing Machines Lose It
A bike that lives in a van and a garage has nothing to be stolen from and nobody waiting to turn a key. The lock is mass and complication.
How the Engine Is Killed
The button breaks the ignition circuit exactly as turning the key to off did. Nothing about the way the engine stops changes.
Fitting Time
Twenty minutes on most models, longer where the loom sits under the tank. Nothing about the job needs the front end apart.
The Rating Explained
IP69K is the standard for withstanding close-range hot water at high pressure. It exists for food machinery and it suits a paddock hose just as well.
The Plate Follows the Yoke
Shape, hole spacing and thickness all belong to one motorcycle. A part from another model will not sit flat and should not be persuaded.
Position on the Yoke
The new body occupies the same footprint, so the tank, the top clamp and the instruments all keep their relationship to each other.
No Adjustment
Nothing threads, nothing shims and nothing needs setting. It bolts into the holes the block used and works from the first press.
Made the Expensive Way
A body cut from solid Ergal, anodised rather than painted, a switch sealed to a rating written for industrial washdown, and a plate drawn for one motorcycle. None of that is necessary for a button and all of it is why this one lasts.
