The JP KS DU005 answers the Panigale 1199 S's ignition circuit with a button rather than a barrel, and leaves every other control on the motorcycle alone.

The S specification put electronic suspension on the first Panigale, which is the version most owners chose and the one that fills track-day garages now.
The Steering Lock Goes
Removing the barrel removes the lock with it. On a road bike that matters; on a machine in a van between circuits it does not.
Where the Weight Sits
High and forward, above the steering head. Mass in that position works against the rider on every direction change, which is why the figure is worth more than it looks.
Weight Against Money
Three hundred and fifty grams is not cheap by the gram. Owners buy this for the keyless operation as much as for the scales.
Steering Lock
It goes with the barrel. For a machine transported in a van that is irrelevant; for one parked in a street it is not.

Modern road bikes read a chip in the key. On those the barrel is not only a lock, and removing it is a wiring question rather than a spanner question.
Weight on the Steering Head
Every gram above the fork crown resists the rider's input twice: once turning in and once picking the bike up. It is the most expensive mass on a motorcycle.
The Honest Case
A well-made, sealed, model-specific switch that removes a lock a race bike has no use for and takes a little weight off the worst place to carry it.
Gloves On
The button is sized and sprung to be usable with racing gloves, which is not a given on switches bought by the metre.
Keeping the Motorcycle Reversible
Nothing is cut, drilled or soldered. The standard block refits on its own fasteners with its own connector in about the time it took to remove. Keep the barrel and its key together in a labelled bag, because a barrel without a key is worth nothing.
