DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a light adventure bike like the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, the rear brake gets a surprising amount of use: on steep gravel, in slow city traffic and during tight turns in car parks. Accossato's AGPA77 rear pad in the Organic mixture fits the Versys-X 300 from 2017 to 2023, and our garage applies it to the Adventure and Urban packs as well. It is meant for riders who value a soft, quiet pedal and want to preserve the rear disc.
Key Features
- AGPA77 rear pads for the Kawasaki Versys-X 300, 2017 to 2023
- Organic mixture, article AGPA77OR
- Accossato: lasting performance with little disc wear
- Gentle take-up for slow manoeuvres
- Quiet in town and at walking pace
- Comfortable for new and returning riders
- Also offered on this plate as ST
- No German approval held; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's promise for this mixture is performance that holds over a long time and low wear on the disc. A rear brake on a small commuter is used often and gently, so looking after the rotor pays off over the years. The company also says that its pads avoid excessive heat to reduce fade, and that they still stop strongly. The Organic layer is fixed to the AGPA77 plate.
Slow-Speed Control
Instructors teach new riders to use the rear brake at walking pace: it stabilises the bike in a U-turn, helps in a queue and holds it on a slope. On the Versys-X 300, a rear pad that bites softly and progressively makes those exercises feel natural. The Organic set is quiet too, which is pleasant when creeping through a car park.
Keep the rear caliper free of mud and chain lube. When changing pads, clean the pistons before pushing them back, then press the pedal several times until it firms up.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA77 for the rear of the Kawasaki Versys-X 300 from 2017 to 2023; in our garage this covers the Adventure and Urban versions. The front pad AGPA72 is catalogued for 2017 to 2021, and the DK271 disc is also listed. One box equips the rear caliper; compare the shape with your old pads.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or approval mark for AGPA77OR. It is supplied for racing purposes.
