DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha R9 is the newest machine in this part of the catalogue, a three-cylinder sports bike listed by Accossato for 2025 and 2026. Owners of a model in its first seasons know the feeling: the bike is finished, but the world around it is not. Accessories appear slowly, information is thin, and every part that does exist is examined carefully before anybody spends money. The FC124 is the quick-release fuel tank cap Accossato gives for the R9, machined from aluminium with the pawl in a choice of six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Yamaha R9, 2025 and 2026
- Accossato lists the machine as YZF 900 R9
- Aluminium throughout, machined on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl in place of a conventional fitting
- Six colours for the pin: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Pawl orderable separately as a spare
- Check the application list before ordering
- No German ABE documented; a part for the circuit
Construction and Material Quality
The recipe does not change for a new model: aluminium, cut on CNC machines, which Accossato calls robust and durable, and a design that is its own rather than a copy of the original. The quick-closing pawl opens the R9's tank in one movement and secures it in another. Colour is decided by the pin inside the pawl, six shades on the list, chosen at the time of ordering. The same pawl is catalogued as a spare, which is worth knowing at the start of a machine's life rather than at the end of it.
Being Early With a New Model
Buying parts for a recently released motorcycle calls for a little more care than buying for one that has been around for years. There is less experience to draw on, fewer riders have tried the combination, and the application list itself is younger. None of that is a reason to wait, but it is a reason to check rather than assume: compare the designation on your documents with the entry, look at the pictures properly, and ask if anything is unclear. We would rather answer a question before the order than process a return afterwards. As more R9s reach circuits and more owners report back, the picture will fill in, as it has for every model before this one.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the YZF 900 R9 for 2025 and 2026, which is what this product covers. In our catalogue the same FC124 is also filed under the MT-09, the MT-09 SP and the MT-10. Please match your machine against the application list before you order, and contact us if your version is not shown.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are documented for the FC124, so it is sold for use on closed circuits. The R9 leaves the factory with a cap that normally opens with the ignition key, and that is the one for the road.
Scope of Delivery
