DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Mana 850 GT is one of the few motorcycles built around an automatic gearbox, with a storage compartment where other bikes carry their fuel tank and, in the GT version, a half fairing that keeps wind and spray off the rider. That combination appeals to riders who use their bike every day, all year round. Commuting through autumn and winter is hard on small parts, and the front brake is used at every junction. Accossato's TS004, an anodised aluminium cap for the front brake fluid reservoir, is listed for the Mana 850 GT of 2009 to 2016.
Key Features
- Front brake fluid reservoir cap for the Aprilia Mana 850 GT, 2009 to 2016
- Designed for the original front reservoir
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised finish
- Seven colours: black, silver, blue, green, red, orange, gold
- Also listed for several Dorsoduro and Shiver models
- Check fitment on Accossato's application list
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the TS004 from aluminium on CNC equipment; anodising then colours the surface in black, silver, blue, green, red, orange or gold. The cap is made to suit the original front reservoir of the listed bikes, so the Mana's brake system itself does not change. When you remove the old cap, look at the rubber diaphragm or seal underneath. Replace it if it has hardened or cracked, because the cap alone cannot seal the reservoir properly.
Commuting Through the Wet Months
A daily ride to work in rain and on gritted roads leaves a film of dirt on every part of a bike, including the handlebar controls. On the Mana 850 GT there is no clutch lever to think about, so the right hand and the front brake carry more responsibility at every set of lights. Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, and the wet months are not the moment to leave a reservoir open. If you want to fit the TS004, do it indoors on a dry day, with the bike clean and dry. Turn the bars so the reservoir is level, cover the fairing and the storage compartment lid with a cloth, and wipe away the grime around the old cap before you lift it, so that nothing falls into the fluid. Check that the level lies between the marks and do not leave the reservoir open longer than you need to. Fasten the new cap without force, rinse off any drips with water, and try the lever with the Mana at rest before the next commute. After that, a quick wipe of the cap during each wash keeps road salt from building up around it.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the TS004 for the front reservoir of the Mana 850 GT from 2009 to 2016. The same cap appears in our catalogue for the Dorsoduro 750, the Dorsoduro 900 and the Shiver 750. No other Accossato reservoir or filler cap is listed for this bike. Please compare your bike with the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
This cap is not covered by any ABE or test documents that we hold; we offer it for racing and competition use.
