DescriptionThe whole story▼
Plenty of Yamaha Tracer 900 riders bought the bike for its three-cylinder punch rather than its luggage racks, and they ride it hard on empty back roads. For that rider, Accossato offers front pad AGPA97 in the EV1 street/track compound. Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Tracer 900 from 2015 to 2024. EV1 is designed for a firmer, more immediate bite than the commuting and touring compounds, and it will also handle an amateur track day.
Key Features
- AGPA97 front pad in EV1 street/track compound
- For the Yamaha Tracer 900, 2015-2024, per Accossato
- Accossato: excellent grip for street riding and amateur track use
- Immediate bite for brisk riding on back roads
- Holds up through a track day
- Two pads per box, one caliper
- Also available as OR, ST, EV2, ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato positions EV1 as a compound with excellent grip for road riding and amateur circuit use. It is the bridge between the everyday compounds and the race pads. Accossato's general statements about its range, long service life, less fading through limited heat and strong stopping, are reported as the maker's claims without our own measurements.
Using the Triple's Performance
A Tracer 900 accelerates hard out of every bend, which means it arrives at the next one quickly. On a twisting back road, a pad with a firm, immediate response makes it easier to shed that speed precisely before turning in. EV1 is intended for this sort of riding, and for the repeated heavy stops of a track day. On the road it rewards a progressive squeeze rather than a grab. For wet touring, ST is steadier. Because the Tracer 900 sits taller than a naked bike and carries a fairing, it also pitches forward more under hard braking, so a front pad that builds its bite in a linear way helps keep that movement smooth and the rear tyre in contact.
After Hard Use
After a track day or a fast day in the mountains, look at the pads and discs for heat discolouration, and check the fluid. Fluid that has turned dark should be replaced.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA97 for the TRACER 900 with the years 2015 to 2024. With two front calipers, two boxes are needed for a full front set. Accossato's rear pad for the Tracer 900 is AGPP88.
Road Approval
AGPA97EV1 has neither ABE nor test documentation with us, so it is sold for track and competition riding.
Scope of Delivery
