DescriptionThe whole story▼
This Accossato kit fits the original Tracer 700, sold with ABS between 2016 and 2019 before Yamaha renamed and updated the model as the Tracer 7, supplying five braided hoses to the factory's Standard-layout routing. As the first long-distance-oriented version of the MT-07 platform, this Tracer already carried the weight of luggage and a passenger, and swapping in braided line restores some of the lever precision the stock rubber hoses lose once they have done a few seasons of loaded riding. Because this bike is often bought secondhand for long-distance use, the brake hoses are frequently showing their age by the time an owner gets around to replacing them.
Key Features
- Five-hose set for the ABS-equipped Tracer 700
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings, the only finish offered for this part
- Keeps the factory Standard-layout routing
- Supplied as a complete braided hose kit under this part number
Construction and Material Quality
Each of the five hoses is a stainless braid sheath over the inner line, finished with fittings made from stainless steel, supplied only bare on this part. Twenty braid colours remain on offer, which for a bike that is likely to be fitted with luggage and other long-distance accessories gives a way to keep the overall look coordinated.
Why This Generation Needs Fewer Hoses
The later Tracer 7 runs to seven hoses under its own kit, while this earlier Tracer 700 needs only five; the difference comes down to small routing changes Yamaha made between the two generations rather than any difference in what the ABS system itself does.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit fits the Yamaha Tracer 700 built between 2016 and 2019. For the later, renamed Tracer 7 built in 2020 and 2021, Accossato lists a separate seven-hose kit, part AGA0240. Owners who later trade up to the newer Tracer 7 should note that this part does not carry over, since the two generations use different hose counts.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 5 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
