DescriptionThe whole story▼
ECE 22.06 certified and engineered to near-zero aerodynamic lift, the Nexx X.R3R Hagibis Carbon Gold is a full-face racing helmet that refuses to compromise on safety, weight, or presence. Its X-PRO Carbon shell — composed of over 60% carbon fibre — delivers pro-level impact absorption in a shell that weighs approximately 1,350 g ± 50 g, roughly 10% lighter than conventional race helmets. If certification standards and structural integrity are your non-negotiables, this is where the search ends.
Key Features
- ECE 22.06 homologated — meets the most current European safety standard for road and track use
- X-PRO Carbon shell (over 60% carbon fibre) with an enhanced energy-absorbing structure, approximately 10% lighter than conventional race helmets at around 1,350 g ± 50 g
- Emergency Strap V2 system allows rapid cheek-pad removal in emergency situations
- Double-D-ring retention system for a secure, race-proven fastening every time
- Wind-tunnel developed and CFD-optimised aerodynamics generating near-zero dynamic lift at speed
- Three shell sizes for a precise, anatomical fit across all head circumferences
- Exclusive Hagibis gold-and-carbon livery — named for speed, designed to reflect it
Safety Architecture
Safety in the X.R3R is not an afterthought — it is the architecture. ECE 22.06 homologation confirms the shell and liner have passed the most stringent current European impact and penetration tests. The outer shell uses Nexx's X-PRO Carbon construction, a multi-layer composite in which carbon fibre exceeds 60% of the total material content, producing a shell that absorbs and disperses impact energy with exceptional efficiency. Internally, the liner structure has been further engineered to maximise energy absorption across the impact zone.
The Double-D-ring chin-strap closure is the retention standard preferred by professional road-racers for its simplicity, reliability, and resistance to accidental release. Alongside it, the Emergency Strap V2 allows medical personnel to remove the cheek pads rapidly and safely without compromising cervical stability — a feature that matters when every second counts.
Aerodynamics and Stability
Every contour of the X.R3R was shaped in a wind tunnel and refined through computational fluid dynamics analysis. The result is a shell that generates approximately 0 g dynamic weight — effectively zero aerodynamic lift — at high speed, eliminating the neck fatigue and instability that plague less sophisticated designs. A rear spoiler manages airflow across the tail of the helmet, whilst the streamlined shell profile and anti-vibration components reduce buffeting to a minimum. Whether you are chasing lap times on a trackday or holding a sustained motorway pace, the helmet remains planted and composed.
Air Dynamic Ventilation System
Effective thermal management is inseparable from safety: an overheated rider is a distracted rider. The X.R3R addresses this with its Air Dynamic System, comprising six intake vents and four exhaust ports arranged to draw a continuous channel of air through the helmet interior. A dedicated Speed-Flow chin vent accelerates airflow across the face and visor base, whilst anti-vibration components prevent wind noise from the vent ports from becoming a distraction. The system keeps concentration sharp without requiring you to sacrifice structural integrity for airflow.
Lexan-PC Visor and X-LOCK Mechanism
Visibility is itself a safety concern, and the X.R3R's specially developed Lexan-PC visor provides an exceptionally wide horizontal and vertical field of view, with scratch-resistant and high-clarity optical properties that remain reliable under rapid head movement. The magnetic X-LOCK visor mechanism secures the shield positively at every intermediate position, eliminating the risk of a visor cracking open under wind pressure. The visor's optical quality ensures you are reading the road or the racing line, not fighting reflections or distortions.
Interior Comfort — X-Mart Dry Liner
The full interior is lined in X-Mart Dry, Nexx's high-performance moisture-management fabric. It dries at twice the rate of cotton, carries antibacterial treatment to suppress odour-causing bacteria, and is fully removable and machine washable. The liner is available across three shell sizes, ensuring that each size bracket achieves a genuine anatomical fit rather than relying on foam packing to compensate for an oversized shell.
Fitment and Sizing
The Nexx X.R3R Hagibis Carbon Gold is a full-face racing helmet designed for universal road and track fitment. It is available in sizes XS through XXL. Measure your head circumference horizontally across the forehead and the widest point of the rear skull. If your measurement falls between two sizes, select the larger.
