DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where heritage design meets modern track engineering, the Nexx X.R3R Zero Pro 2 in Matte Red Carbon stands apart. Exposed carbon structure paired with deep, matte red graphics creates a graphic identity that is unmistakably bold — and beneath that striking finish lies one of the lightest, most aerodynamically refined full-face helmets in Nexx's racing lineage.
Key Features
- X-PRO carbon shell construction: ultra-high fibre content delivers exceptional rigidity with a weight of approximately 1,350 g ± 50 g — reducing fatigue on long stints and demanding track sessions alike
- Race-developed aerodynamics: near-zero dynamic lift at speed, integrated spoilers for lateral balance, and a shell profile that resists buffeting even during rapid directional changes
- Air Dynamic System ventilation: 6 intake vents and 4 exhaust vents, including Speed-Flow chin ventilation, channel cool air efficiently across the interior
- Wide-aperture Lexan-PC visor: scratch-resistant, optically true and secured by the X-LOCK magnetic closure for fast, one-handed operation
- X-Mart Dry liner: dries twice as fast as cotton, antimicrobial, ergonomically contoured and fully removable for machine washing
- ECE 22-06 certified with Double-D-ring buckle, magnetic retention and the Emergency Strap System for rapid cheek-pad removal by first responders
- Three shell sizes ensure a proportionate, precision fit across the full XS–XXL size range
Design, Finish and Heritage
The Zero Pro 2 Carbon Matte Red is the product of Nexx's competition programme distilled into a road-legal shell. The matte red accent graphics are applied over a visible carbon weave — not a carbon-look print — giving the helmet a depth and authenticity that gloss treatments simply cannot replicate. The finish reads as purposeful rather than decorative: an attitude refined on track and worn on the road with equal confidence.
Nexx developed the X.R3R platform specifically around the demands of high-speed riding. Every surface curve, every vent aperture, and the geometry of the eye port has been tested to deliver performance at the extreme end of the road-sports spectrum. The Matte Red colourway is part of the Zero Pro 2 collection — a limited graphic series that draws on Nexx's motorsport visual language while keeping the shell as uncluttered and aerodynamically clean as possible.
Aerodynamics and Ventilation in Detail
At track speeds the X.R3R produces near-zero grams of dynamic lift, so the helmet sits weightlessly on your head rather than pulling backwards or generating turbulent lift. The integrated aerodynamic spoilers provide lateral stability and reduce the oscillation that causes rider fatigue on motorway or circuit use. Inside, six intake vents draw fresh air across the liner and four exhaust vents evacuate warm air continuously — the Speed-Flow chin ventilation adds a direct route to the face that makes a genuine difference in hot or humid conditions.
Visor and Closure System
The wide horizontal and vertical aperture of the Lexan-PC visor maximises peripheral awareness — more of what is happening around you registers earlier, giving you extra reaction time. The X-LOCK magnetic visor closure latches securely without the fussiness of conventional tab mechanisms, and releases cleanly with minimal hand movement. Optical clarity is consistent edge-to-edge, with no distortion in the lower or lateral zones where lesser visors often compromise.
Safety Architecture
ECE 22-06 certification represents the current European standard for helmet impact performance. The X.R3R's multi-layer energy-absorbing construction is designed to manage both single high-energy impacts and the angular forces associated with real-world crash scenarios. The Double-D-ring fastener — the choice of racing professionals — is supplemented by a magnetic retention clip to prevent the loose end flapping at speed. For emergency services, the Emergency Strap System allows cheek pads to be withdrawn rapidly without moving the helmet, reducing the risk of spinal injury.
Interior Comfort
The X-Mart Dry liner uses a high-performance moisture management fabric that evacuates perspiration significantly faster than cotton, keeping the microclimate inside the helmet cooler during intense riding. The ergonomic cheek pads are shaped to relieve pressure points on extended rides, and the entire liner — including the cheek pads and brow pad — unclips and comes out for washing.
Size Guide
| Head circumference (cm) | Size |
|---|---|
| 51–52 cm | XXS |
| 53–54 cm | XS |
| 55–56 cm | S |
| 57–58 cm | M |
| 59–60 cm | L |
| 61–62 cm | XL |
| 63–64 cm | XXL |
If your measurement falls between two sizes, select the larger size for optimal comfort and liner break-in.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Nexx X.R3R Zero Pro 2 Carbon Matte Red is a universal full-face helmet suited to any road-sports, supersport or track-day motorcycle. It is not model or make specific — sizing is determined by head circumference as shown in the table above. Three shell sizes (covering XS–S, M–L and XL–XXL) ensure proportionate geometry across the full range rather than a single oversized shell stretched to fit all.

“Physically the same helmet as the Pro FIM Evo — same carbon shell, same 1,350 g, same venting — without the racing homologation. For open track days that costs you nothing; for anything timed under FIM rules it rules the helmet out.”
— the Inter-Pace crewECE 22.06 only — the FIM version is a separate helmet.
Double-D and an X-Pro carbon shell in three sizes.
Six intakes and four extractors, well judged for track.
Break-off rear spoiler included.
1,350 g — light for a full-face carbon shell.
Average for a helmet with this much venting.
225-degree horizontal view, comfortable on long runs.
Three shell sizes, XS through 2XL.
Same carbon shell as the FIM version, road spec.
509 € for carbon at 1,350 g is hard to beat.
