DescriptionThe whole story▼
ECE 22.06 and FIM-certified for international racing, the Shark Aeron GP in the Raúl Fernández Replica 2025 livery is the closest a road or track rider can get to the exact helmet worn by the MotoGP frontrunner himself. Built around Shark's proprietary COVA shell technology — 80% carbon fibre, 20% aramid — it delivers race-grade protection at a weight of just 1,410 g (size M, ±50 g), making it one of the lightest FIM-homologated helmets available.
Key Features
- Dual ECE 22.06 and FIM homologation — cleared for sanctioned international racing series worldwide, not just road use
- COVA shell construction: 80% carbon / 20% aramid delivers a high-rigidity, low-weight structure engineered to absorb peak impact energy
- Multi-density EPS liner with 3D-scanned interior padding for precise anatomical fit and consistent shock absorption across the full shell
- Visor system rated to optical class 1 — anti-fog, scratch-resistant, tear-off compatible, with a dark-smoke visor included as standard
- Wind-tunnel-developed aerodynamics with an adaptive aero spoiler that responds dynamically to airflow, reducing turbulence and neck load at high speed
- Emergency Quick Release System for rapid helmet removal in the event of an incident — essential safety provision for track use
Safety and Certification
The Aeron GP holds both ECE 22.06 homologation — the current European safety standard — and FIM Racing homologation, the governing body's own certification required for World Championship competition. These are not overlapping approvals; the FIM standard imposes additional structural and retention tests beyond ECE 22.06, meaning the Aeron GP has passed some of the most demanding helmet testing protocols in global motorsport. The shell is reinforced by the COVA process, in which carbon and aramid fibres are layered to distribute impact forces across the widest possible area. Inside, an EPS liner engineered with four distinct density zones ensures that energy is managed progressively rather than transmitted directly to the rider's head.
Aerodynamics and High-Speed Performance
Shark developed the Aeron GP's external geometry in a wind tunnel, optimising every surface to reduce drag and suppress lift at racing speeds. The adaptive aero spoiler adjusts automatically to incoming airflow, keeping the helmet planted on the rider's head without requiring manual adjustment. The overall shell profile is shaped around a racing tuck position, meaning the helmet works with the rider rather than against them when the chin is dropped towards the tank. Ventilation is managed through five air intakes and seven exhaust outlets connected by a channelled EPS ducting system — enough airflow to keep concentration sharp across a full race distance without overheating.
Comfort and Interior
The interior of the Aeron GP has been developed for professional use. The 3D-scanned liner conforms closely to the head's natural geometry, and the Morpho-Pads and ear cushions allow fine-tuning of fit and noise damping. All interior materials are antibacterial and moisture-wicking, and the liner is fully removable and washable. The helmet is also confirmed suitable for glasses wearers, and Bluetooth and intercom compatibility is confirmed for SENA and Sharktooth systems per the Shark catalogue. The double-D retention system provides a secure, adjustment-free lock once fitted correctly.
Visor
The Aeron GP ships with a clear visor already fitted and a dark-smoke visor included in the box. Both are rated to optical class 1 — the highest clarity designation — and carry anti-fog and scratch-resistant coatings as standard. The visor seals tightly against the shell to suppress wind noise, and the mechanism is tear-off compatible out of the box, with a tear-off set included. For riders moving between wet and dry conditions on track, this system requires no additional purchase to become race-ready.
Raúl Fernández Replica 2025 Design
The Raúl Fernández Replica 2025 graphics reproduce the colour scheme of the Trackhouse MotoGP rider's 2025 race helmet in white, blue and red. Every line and graphic element is faithful to the original worn on circuit, making this a genuine replica rather than an approximation. The livery is specific to this SKU (HE1053EBBW) and distinguishes the helmet immediately from the standard Aeron GP colour range.
Fitment and Compatibility
This helmet is a full-face racing helmet suitable for track use across all motorcycle racing classes where FIM homologation is required, as well as road use under ECE 22.06. It is compatible with SENA and Sharktooth Bluetooth intercom systems. Tear-off posts are integrated into the visor aperture. Sizing runs from XS to XXL; measure your head circumference approximately 1 cm above the ears at the widest point and refer to the size chart below.

“Probably the best-ventilated race helmet you can buy, and one of the few carrying the newer FIM 2 homologation. Two things count against it: only two shell sizes across the whole range, and no Pinlock — Shark relies on an anti-fog coating instead.”
— the Inter-Pace crewFIM FRHPhe-02 — the current, stricter racing standard.
Double-D and multi-density EPS; only two shell sizes.
Four inlets, four outlets — the best-vented race lid tested.
Spoiler with adaptive flaps, developed in the tunnel.
1,490 g — heavier than the carbon competition.
Average for a race helmet; the venting is audible.
Comfortable over long stints, if the shape suits you.
Only two shell sizes across the range — a real limit.
COVA carbon, unmistakably built for the grid.
You pay premium money for FIM 2 and the airflow.
