DescriptionThe whole story▼
FIM-homologated and built for the demands of the circuit, the LS2 FF805 Thunder Carbon GP Pro is the race helmet LS2's own competition riders trust at the highest level. Its 100% carbon fibre shell delivers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio — tipping the scales at just 1,280 g (±50 g, size M) — while the natural carbon matte finish wears its race credentials with restraint. This is a helmet engineered for riders who measure performance in lap times, not aesthetics.
Key Features
- FIM-homologated and UNECE 22.06 certified — cleared for use in professional racing at federation level
- 100% carbon fibre shell in three shell sizes for a precise, performance fit at every head circumference
- Multiple forehead and crown vents channelled through the EPS liner for maximum airflow management on track
- Wide scratch-resistant visor prepared for Pinlock Max Vision 120, with tear-off post provisions for racing use
- X-Static© silver antibacterial liner — removable and fully washable to keep you fresh across race weekends
- Emergency cheek-pad release system for safe, rapid removal by trackside medical personnel
- Reinforced chin strap with double-D-ring retention for a secure, regulation-compliant fastening
Race-Proven Construction
The FF805 Thunder Carbon GP Pro shell is produced using a pure carbon fibre layup — no hybrid fill, no compromise. Three distinct shell sizes ensure the fit remains close and aerodynamically efficient regardless of head size, avoiding the oversized shell profiles that plague cheaper full-face helmets. The race spoiler integrated into the shell's upper section works to manage high-speed stability and reduce aerodynamic lift during braking, giving riders confidence when pushing to the limit.
Ventilation is engineered rather than decorative: multiple inlets across the forehead and crown feed air directly into EPS-channelled ducts, pulling heat away from the head efficiently during hard riding. The peripheral vision envelope is deliberately wide — a critical safety and awareness advantage on track where situational awareness can be the difference between a clean lap and a collision.
Track-to-Paddock Convenience
Safety reflective patches are sewn into the shell, satisfying French road regulations (reflective stickers included) and improving visibility in low-light conditions during transit to and from the circuit. The interior features LS2's X-Static© silver antibacterial treatment, which actively resists odour build-up over successive track sessions. The fully removable liner means a thorough clean between race weekends is straightforward, maintaining hygiene across a full season.
The visor system is race-ready from the box: the wide polycarbonate screen is pre-drilled for tear-offs and compatible with the Pinlock Max Vision 120 anti-fog insert (insert included). A dark-tinted visor is also supplied, covering the transition between paddock and circuit without requiring an additional purchase.

“The Carbon GP Pro FIM is the one FF805 in our range with a racing homologation, on the lightest shell in this field at 1,341 g. The padding stays plain — LS2 spent the money on the shell, and it shows in both directions.”
