Track-Tested Design
The VAS-V system is the result of Arai's decades of involvement in top-level motorsport. The variable pivot axis allows the visor to open and close in a natural arc that mirrors the curve of the helmet shell, eliminating the gap between visor and helmet body at every position. On track, where a moment's distraction can have serious consequences, this engineering detail matters. The Mirror Red coating is applied to the outer surface of the visor, preserving full optical clarity on the inside while cutting excess light transmission from without.

While the VAS-V MV Shield is at home on circuit, the Mirror Red finish is equally effective on sun-drenched open roads. Take out the washable lining and hand-wash it in lukewarm water. Clean the shell and visor with a soft cloth and water only — never solvents.
