DescriptionThe whole story▼
The F4 has been MV Agusta's four-cylinder superbike since the late 1990s, and the generation introduced for 2010 kept its signature features: a radial-valve engine, a single-sided swingarm and four exhaust outlets beneath the tail. Built in far smaller numbers than the Japanese superbikes it competed with in showrooms, it remains a machine that draws a crowd in any paddock. Its unusual exhaust layout also changes one small paddock routine. For the F4 1000 of 2010 to 2015, Accossato lists the FC119, a quick-release tank cap machined from aluminium, with the pin on its pawl in the colour you choose.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato produces the FC119 wholly from aluminium on CNC machines and speaks of it as robust and durable, in a design of its own that is new. A quick-closing pawl opens the F4's tank without delay and closes it again the same way. For the pin on the pawl you have six colours to pick from. Because the pawl is also sold on its own, damage to it is a small repair rather than a reason for a new cap.
Four Outlets Under the Tail
The F4's four exhaust outlets sit beneath the seat, a detail that has defined the model since its first generation. They are beautiful to look at, and they stay hot long after a session, radiating heat from the tail rather than from low down at the side of the bike. That changes where things should go in the paddock. Never rest a fuel can on the seat or the tail unit, even briefly, and do not set it down on the ground directly behind the bike, where warm air from the outlets gathers. Stand the can beside the front wheel instead, on the side from which you will pour, and take it back to its storage place as soon as the tank is closed. Give the engine and exhaust time to cool before refuelling at all; on an F4 you can feel warmth from the tail with your hand long after the engine has gone quiet. Wipe away any drops around the FC119 before the next start, and keep the can well clear when a neighbour fires up a bike beside yours.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list shows several F4 entries between 2010 and 2015, among them the F4 of 2013 to 2015, the F4 R of 2010 to 2015 and the F4 S of 2010 to 2012, and each of them leads to the FC119. We list this product for 2010 to 2015. The same cap appears with us for the Brutale 1000 RR and the Rush 1000. Check your F4 against the application list.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE and no documented parts certificate for the FC119, so we offer it for closed circuits. On the road, the F4 1000 needs its original cap, which normally locks with the ignition key.
