DescriptionThe whole story▼

The road-focused chassis of the Triumph Tiger 800 XR rewards a rider who enjoys a twisty road, and some owners go one step further and try a track day. Accossato offers front pad AGPA72 for the 2015 to 2018 XR in its EV1 street/track compound, meant for exactly that kind of enthusiastic riding. It targets riders who brake late into bends, want a strong and immediate bite and occasionally take the bike on a circuit as amateurs.

Key Features

  • EV1 street/track front pad AGPA72
  • Fits the Triumph Tiger 800 XR, 2015 to 2018
  • Accossato: excellent grip on the road and for amateur track use
  • Strong initial bite for late braking
  • For sporty road riding and occasional track days
  • Two pads per box, one front caliper
  • OR, ST and EV2 versions also offered

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes EV1 as a compound that gives excellent grip for street riding and for amateur use on the track. It is meant to be used with some intent and to reward firm braking. In general, the brand says its pads wear slowly, resist fade thanks to limited heat build-up and provide strong stopping power.

Sporting Roads and Amateur Circuits

On a winding road, the XR can be ridden with a pace that surprises riders of pure sports bikes. The front brake then takes on more work: harder stops, more often, from higher speeds. EV1 is designed for that step up. On a track day the demand grows again, and a pad with strong bite helps you hit braking markers consistently. Keep in mind that the bike itself, not just the pad, needs to be ready: fresh fluid, healthy discs and good tyres. For daily commuting, the OR pad is more suitable; for full race use, EV2.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA72 for the Tiger 800 XR from 2015 to 2018; later XR models are not covered by this front pad. Two front calipers mean two boxes. The rear pad for the XR is Accossato AGPP89. Clean the pistons before pushing them back, bed the pads in with controlled stops, and let the brakes cool after a hard session before parking.

Road Approval

We do not hold any German ABE or test mark for this pad. It is offered for track and competition riding.

Scope of Delivery
