DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato built this seven-hose kit for the Yamaha MT-09 generation sold from 2021 to 2023, replacing the circuit's rubber sections with braided line while leaving the bike's metal brake pipe section in place. The MT-09 of this generation routes part of its front brake circuit through a short rigid pipe rather than hose for its entire length, and this kit is built around that detail rather than trying to replace it. The result is a firmer lever without any change to a section Yamaha engineered as solid pipe for a reason.
Key Features
- Seven-hose set for the 2021–2023 MT-09
- Retains the factory's metal brake pipe section
- Aeronautical braid sheath in 20 colours
- Stainless steel fittings, the only finish offered for this part
- Every hose in the kit finished to the same specification
Construction and Material Quality
Each of the seven hoses is a stainless braid sheath over the inner line, finished with fittings made from stainless steel, supplied only in that bare finish on this part. The twenty available braid colours give a broad choice of finish even though the fittings themselves do not come painted, which keeps the look simple and consistent across a fairly large seven-hose set.
Why This Kit Retains the Metal Pipe
Accossato lists this MT-09 generation specifically as retaining the metal pipe, meaning the short rigid section of the factory circuit stays in place rather than being replaced by an eighth hose; the seven braided lines in this kit cover everything else in the circuit. That distinguishes it from the version Accossato lists for the 2019–2020 MT-09 and the 2018 MT-09 SP, where the equivalent kit instead replaces that rigid section with hose, and from the older ABS version of the bike built 2014–2018.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit is built for the Yamaha MT-09 and MT-09 SP sold between 2021 and 2023. Riders on an earlier model year should check Accossato's separate listings for the 2014–2018 ABS bike, the 2019–2020 bike, and the 2018 SP, since the metal-pipe treatment and hose count differ by generation.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE or parts certificate for this kit, so it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The kit contains 7 braided hoses for the Standard layout. Fittings such as banjo bolts and copper sealing washers are not listed as included, so it is worth checking the connecting hardware already on the bike before starting the job.
