There is a point in every lap on a Panigale 1199 R where the pad decides how fast the corner is. ZCOO's answer is the B005 - the longest pad ZCOO builds - filling the Brembo caliper of the Panigale 1199 R. The compound is EX Race, which on the Ducati Panigale 1199 R builds force with the lever instead of ahead of it.

Construction and Material Quality
The B005 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan. The ceramic content is what lets the B005 form a protective film on a Panigale 1199 R disc instead of abrading it. For the rider of a Panigale 1199 R the whole of that engineering shows up as one thing: a lever that means the same on the last stop as on the first.
Performance and Feel
Fitted to a Panigale 1199 R, EX Race changes how the brake behaves rather than how hard it stops. The lever pressure needed for a given deceleration barely moves as heat builds through a session on the Panigale 1199 R. On the Panigale 1199 R it means the fifteenth lap can be braked like the second.
Fitment and Compatibility
The 2026 listing puts the B005 on the Ducati Panigale 1199 R for the 2013 to 2015 model years. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 102.2 mm length and 42.0 mm height. The same B005 shape covers 117 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. The reference is a front pad; ZCOO lists no rear equivalent.
Road Approval
No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
