DescriptionThe whole story▼
On the Ducati Panigale V4, the rear brake is a precision instrument — it shapes your line, balances the chassis and loads the tyre for corner exit. The SICOM DMC Carbon-Ceramic Rear Brake Disc in T-Drive specification (245x6mm) delivers immediate, finely modulated bite from the very first application, cold or wet, with none of the temperature dependency that plagues conventional cast-iron rotors. Developed over a 15-year testing programme, this is all-day rear-brake confidence engineered into a single lightweight component.
Key Features
- Consistent, high-friction braking from cold — no warm-up window required, no vague initial feel
- Full wet-weather performance retained — the DMC compound maintains deceleration force in damp or mixed conditions
- Approximately 400 g rotor weight saves over 500 g compared to the OEM disc, dramatically reducing rotating and gyroscopic inertia
- SICOM DMC (Double Matrix Composite): short carbon fibres consolidated in a carbon-graphite matrix for exceptional specific stiffness and thermal-shock resistance
- Corrosion-free by material design — no rust, no oxidation, no surface degradation over time
- T-Drive flanged carrier CNC 5-axis machined from solid billet, black anodised finish, low thermal expansion
DMC Carbon-Ceramic — No Compromises
SICOM's Double Matrix Composite is not a coating or a surface treatment — it is the disc itself. Short carbon fibres are embedded within a carbon and graphite matrix and consolidated under pressure, producing a material that is simultaneously stiff, light and thermally stable. The result is braking feel that remains consistent across the full operating range of a road-and-track V4: from cold morning warm-up laps to the sustained heat of repeated hard stops. Thermoschock resistance means the rotor handles rapid temperature cycling without micro-cracking or warping, and the inherent corrosion resistance of the carbon-ceramic matrix eliminates the surface rust that degrades feel on steel rotors after a single wet ride.
Ultralight Rear End — Tangible Agility
Reducing rotating mass at the rear wheel changes how the Panigale V4 behaves, not just how it stops. At approximately 400 g, the SICOM rear disc saves more than 500 g over the original equipment rotor. Less spinning mass means reduced gyroscopic resistance, quicker direction changes, lighter turn-in and a more immediate sense of acceleration out of corners. For riders who use the rear brake actively through chicanes or to settle the chassis mid-corner, this reduction is perceptible every time.
T-Drive Construction
The T-Drive carrier geometry distributes braking loads efficiently across the rotor-to-hub interface, minimising stress concentrations under hard or repeated braking. The flange is CNC 5-axis machined from solid aluminium billet and finished with a black anodised surface treatment that resists salt, water and heat. A rotor thickness of 6 mm and the low thermal expansion characteristic of the DMC compound keep the disc dimensionally stable under sustained track use. The complete kit ships with dedicated high-performance sintered brake pads matched specifically to the carbon-ceramic rotor surface, so the system is ready to install as a tuned unit.
Fitment & Compatibility
This kit is engineered for direct fitment on the following models:
- Ducati Panigale V4 (2025–2026)
- Ducati Panigale V4 S (2025–2026)
- Ducati Panigale V4 R (2025–2026)
Because the correct sintered pad specification depends on the rear brake caliper fitted to your individual bike, please include the following information in the order Notes field when placing your order:
- Your exact model: Panigale V4 / V4 S / V4 R (2025–2026)
- Your rear brake caliper model
Only with this information can the precisely matched sintered pads be supplied for your setup.
