One Unit, Two Jobs
Ducati puts the right-hand switches inside the throttle housing. This component replaces both, plugged into the motorcycle's own connector with nothing spliced.
A Panigale Without the Fairing
Ducati raised the bars, removed the bodywork and left the 1103 cc engine at 208 horsepower. It is an absurd motorcycle and the company knew exactly what it was doing.
Biplane Winglets
Two elements per side, fitted because a naked bike with this much power lifts its front wheel at speeds where that is unhelpful. They are functional first and striking second.
Sealed Contacts
Enclosed within the machined body. With no fairing at all, rain reaches the assembly directly at road speed and stays there for the whole journey.
A Cut Throttle Bore
Machined rather than formed, so the tube stays concentric and the sensor reads honestly. On an engine with this much torque, small openings are where the rider works.
Black Anodised
Converted into the surface. On a naked bike the cockpit is visible from outside as well as from the saddle.
Ergal 7075
An aerospace grade at roughly twice the yield strength of ordinary machined alloy. It does not deform in the low-speed drop a naked motorcycle eventually meets.
Where the Airbox Went
Removing the fairing meant feeding the V4 from openings beside the headstock instead of a fairing nose. It is one of several places where the Streetfighter is a redesign rather than an unbolting.
Ducati's Own Plug
Pre-wired to the original connector, so the exchange is mechanical and leaves nothing behind in the diagnostics.
A Fairing Nobody Missed
Ducati removed the bodywork and gained a motorcycle that is easier to see out of, easier to get on and rather more entertaining below three-figure speeds. It gave up almost nothing that a road rider actually uses, which is the whole argument for the category.
