DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the Brutale 1000, the JP ACS 060 J is the machined throttle housing with JetPrime's logo cut into the flank.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale 1000 (2019–2022)
- Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
- JetPrime logo milled into the housing
- Short-stroke throttle cam
- Black anodised
- Uses the original throttle cables
Winglets on a Naked Bike
MV fitted aerodynamic appendages to a motorcycle with no bodywork to integrate them into, which looks strange and works. At the speeds a 208 hp naked reaches, keeping the front wheel loaded is not a marketing exercise.
Machined Lettering
The logo is cut into the aluminium during manufacture, before anodising. It shares the finish of the body and ages with it rather than separating, which matters on a component the rider's hand is in contact with continuously.
The Serie Oro and What Followed
Three hundred Serie Oro examples with carbon wheels and titanium fasteners, then the RR as the production version. Both use this throttle architecture, and both are ridden by owners who tend to be particular about components.
Metering Two Hundred Horsepower
The first part of the throttle range is where a naked bike of this output is controlled. A machined bore and a shorter cam both act on exactly that portion, which is why the change is worth more here than on a gentler motorcycle.
Cable Operation
Mechanical throttle, original cables retained. The bike's extensive electronics package sees no change whatsoever, which is worth stating clearly on a machine this heavily managed.
The Alternative Exists
JetPrime also supplies this housing without lettering. On a Brutale 1000, which already carries a great deal of visual incident, that version is the one many owners choose instead.
Three Hundred Serie Oro
The first Brutale 1000 run had carbon wheels, titanium fasteners and a price that made the RR look reasonable. All 300 were allocated before the bikes existed, which has become the normal pattern for MV's limited editions.
