The JP CJP 072K sits between the RC8 R 1190's loom and its injectors with a map the owner writes, and unplugs to leave the motorcycle entirely standard.

KTM's Only Superbike
The RC8 was the marque's single attempt at a faired litre bike, with the LC8 vee in a chassis that looked like nothing else on the grid.
The Original Electronics Are Untouched
Ignition timing, the rev limiter, traction control and every riding mode stay with the standard controller. This unit manages fuel quantity and has no access to anything else.
Complete Management of the Fuel Map
That phrase means every cell, not a global trim. The unit can richen one small region and lean another, which is what separates a map from a knob.
Reversible Means Reversible
Unplug the unit, mate the original connectors and every trace is gone. Nothing was written to the motorcycle and nothing needs restoring.
Logging Instead of Watching
A logger records the mixture against revs and load so the analysis happens afterwards. It is safer than reading a display at speed and it produces better maps.
What a Good Map Feels Like
Nothing in particular. The hesitation is gone, the surge is gone and the engine simply does what the hand asks. Good mapping is invisible.
The Rev Limiter Stays
It belongs to the standard controller and no amount of mapping moves it. Anybody hoping for more revs is looking at the wrong component entirely.
A Note on Warranty
An additional controller is visible and a dealer will see it. It unplugs in minutes and the motorcycle is standard, which is the whole reason to prefer this over a reflash.
The Sale Afterwards
A motorcycle offered with this unit should come with its map file and a note of the configuration it was written for. Without those the next owner inherits a blank sheet and a bill.
