An Engine That Lives at the Top
The F4's radial-valve four revs beyond thirteen thousand and makes its power there. A long throttle travel is more noticeable on an engine like this than on one with midrange to fall back on, and shortening it is a change riders feel within a corner.
The Housing Comes Off
MV builds the right-hand switch block into the throttle assembly. Once a quick tube is fitted, the starter and kill controls need an independent mounting, and this unit provides one that clamps directly to the bar.
Tight Behind the Fairing
Tamburini shaped the F4's bodywork for airflow rather than for access, and the space around the clip-ons is minimal. A compact bar-mounted unit fits into that more comfortably than an improvised bracket ever would.
Original Connector
Pre-wired for MV's own plug. Nothing is spliced, no fault code appears and the standard assembly refits at any point, which on a motorcycle valued for originality is the important property.
Sealed Contacts
Military-specification elements rather than automotive ones. F4s of this age are frequently ridden on circuits and washed hot afterwards, and the sealing is what keeps that from reaching the electrics.
A Designed Cockpit
Every visible component on an F4 was drawn as part of the motorcycle. A machined aluminium switch belongs in that company considerably better than a moulded assembly does, whatever else one thinks of the modification.
Titanium Only
One finish, converted into the surface. On an F4 in red and silver it stays out of the way; on a black one it is the only thing in the cockpit that catches light at all.
