The Dainese name has been synonymous with rider protection since 1972, and the Dry Pants carries that design philosophy into the base layer category. Rather than simply adapting a generic sports underlayer for motorcycle use, Dainese has engineered the Dry Pants around the specific demands of riding — long hours in a fixed position, temperature swings between stationary and high-speed airflow, and the constant low-level abrasion of a seat surface. The seamless construction is the centrepiece of this approach: without traditional sewn seams running across the thighs and seat, the potential for irritation that compounds over hundreds of kilometres is removed entirely.
The Dryarn® fibre itself is the lightest polypropylene microfibre available in performance apparel. It has an extraordinarily low moisture absorption rate, meaning sweat is transported immediately to the outer surface of the fabric where it evaporates, rather than being retained against the skin. The result is a base layer that genuinely remains dry rather than simply redistributing moisture.
