BST's Rapid Tek construction process uses pre-preg carbon fibre — resin-impregnated fabric cured under controlled heat and pressure — rather than wet lay-up. The result is a rim with a consistent fibre-to-resin ratio throughout, translating into predictable stiffness characteristics and excellent fatigue resistance under the cyclical stresses of hard braking and high-speed cornering. The 6082 T6 aluminium hub is CNC-machined from billet, providing the dimensional accuracy required for precise bearing retention and axle fitment.
Load ratings have been independently verified: radial load 388 kg (855 lbs), static load 155 kg (341 lbs), cornering load 577 Nm, and torsional load 543.9 Nm.
