DescriptionThe whole story▼
Touring on a Shiver 750 GT sooner or later includes a wrong turn on a mountain road and a U-turn on a narrow, cambered lane. Aprilia gave the GT a half fairing and a screen for longer days in the saddle, and it is often carrying luggage when that moment arrives. At walking pace, on full lock and on a slope, balance can go quickly, and if the bike falls to the right, the front brake lever takes the impact. Accossato's AGD13 is a silver replacement brake lever in original shape for the Shiver 750 GT, listed from 2009 to 2017.

Construction and Material Quality
The AGD13 carries Accossato's designation original spare parts type. It is made in the shape of the Shiver 750 GT's standard brake lever and designed, as Accossato puts it, to give good value for money. The manufacturer also says that its production process lends the lever more resistance after damage or a fall. The colour is silver. That is the full extent of Accossato's description, and we keep to it rather than decorate it.
Turning Round on a Narrow Road
The safest U-turn on a loaded tourer is often the one you do not ride. Where the lane is narrow and sloping, stop, get off and walk the Shiver 750 GT round in two or three moves, holding it on the front brake. If you do ride it round, keep the revs slightly up, the clutch in the friction zone and your eyes on the exit rather than on the verge. After a drop, lift the bike with your legs, not your back, and look at the brake lever before continuing. A bent or broken lever means less control on the descent that usually follows on a mountain road. Replace it, clean and grease the pivot, check the brake light, and test the pressure point with the bike stationary before riding on.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two lines on Accossato's list cover this bike: the Shiver 750 GT with ABS from 2009 to 2017 and the GT without ABS from 2010 to 2017, and the AGD13 appears in both. On the left bar, the clutch lever is a separate part, the AGS16, also in silver. The brake lever is shared with the naked Shiver 750 and the Mana 850 GT, under which it is listed at Inter-Pace too. Anyone who wants a different lever shape on the Shiver 750 GT can choose Accossato's CNC brake lever EDF023 instead.
Road Approval
We have not been given an ABE or any other test certificate for the AGD13, so it is sold for track and competition use.
